Abstract

This study aims to design and produce clothing for workers in marine facilities and units in accordance with occupational safety and health standards, with the goal of ensuring their safety and comfort while performing their tasks. It identifies the necessary specifications to meet functional and aesthetic requirements, considering the nature of the demanding work and the challenges faced by workers, such as slip hazards, fire risks, exposure to weather conditions, and petroleum and chemical materials. The study utilized various research tools, including questionnaires and interviews, to collect data from a sample of 10 experts and 55 workers. Additionally, it analyzed the work environment and worker movement and studied some job tasks to identify the challenges faced by workers. The study relied on descriptive analysis and a quasi-experimental approach, with data analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. The results provided recommendations aimed at designing and producing clothing that ensures comfort and safety, supports quality standards, and contributes to protecting workers while providing a healthy and safe work environment in compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
